A living history museum, Landis Valley is a nineteenth-century Pennsylvania German crossroads village. The site includes historic buildings and barns set on over 100 acres of trees, gardens and working farms, with animals whose lineage goes back centuries. It's a superb and serene environment for any event.
For weddings, it's the perfect place for photographs of your memorable occasion. Arrive at your event in a horse-drawn carriage; then entertain your guests in the Yellow Barn or Firehouse. Also, use this natural setting for photos with a unique backdrop.
The Yellow Barn was built in 1939 with the timber framing from the earlier 1814 Brick Farmstead Barn. With a capacity of 225 people in 2,880 sq. ft., the Yellow Barn is perfect for a wedding reception! It is beautifully decorated with hundreds of white twinkle lights laced around the wooden columns and draped across the ceiling, giving it a warm and elegant glow.
The Firehouse is a replica of an early rural firehouse. With wooden floors and lots of natural lighting from the large front doors, it has a capacity for 100 people in it's 1,258 sq. ft. With the addition of a tent rental at the open double doors you can host another 50 people, for a total capacity of 150. Perfect for warm spring and summer weddings.
The Landis Valley House Hotel was built in 1856 and is an original building from the Valleys Victorian era. It is the perfect setting for more intimate gatherings. It has a bar room, dining room and card room for a total 832 sq. ft. that accommodates up to 65 people. Perfect for a rehearsal dinner, bridal shower or anniversary party.
